Now Hiring Autobody Technician!

Job description

A high-production autobody repair facility is looking for an experienced autobody technician to join our busy and growing team! New, state-of-the-art autobody shop! Hours of operation are 7:30 am - 5:30 pm from Monday through Friday, where a quality repair is no accident!

Primary Responsibilities:

• Ability to read estimate
• Repair vehicle to manufacturer specifications as per the written estimate
• Checks parts against estimate and ensures proper parts are ordered and received.
• Hammers out dents, dimples, and other minor body damage if possible; mixes and applies filler resins to repair dents when other methods are not feasible.
• Realigns vehicle frame and chassis to repair structural damage.
• Removes damaged sections of vehicles and replaces them with new or aftermarket parts per the estimate.
• Replaces or repairs glass and windshields as needed.
• Replaces or repairs interior parts as needed
• Welds and otherwise attach or fit parts into place.
• Ensures all work has been executed correctly by inspecting vehicles after repair
• Completes work order within estimated timeframe

Qualifications:

• Good communication skills
• Detail Oriented
• Team player
• Three years of autobody experience
• Ability to read estimates and work with little supervision
• Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair the vehicle
• Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade
• Ability to understand that safety is a condition of employment.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
